Botswana

Botswana is a unique tourist destination, with one of the best and stable economies in Africa coming from mining, cattle ranching and tourism. Okavango Delta, covering 15 000sq km incorporates the Moremi Game Reserve.The delta is fed by the Okavango River with its sources from the Angolan highlands. Floating on the crystalline waters of the Okavango Delta in a mokoro, dugout canoe is an experience never to be forgotten. Moremi covers about a third of the Okavango Delta. With the exception of Rhino, all major game species and an abundant of bird life exist in the area. It is also home to Red Lechwe and Sitatunga, the only game reserve in Africa where they exist. Chobe National Park, at 11 000 sq km is one of the most outstanding wildlife reserves with the highest densities of elephant, lion and zebra than anywhere else in Africa. It also has a high population of birds with well over 450 species being identified in the area. One would not miss the African Fish Eagle, the most popular bird in the park. Sundown cruises are also very popular in the Chobe River where one is also guaranteed of seeing plenty of wildlife
